The service

Stillmail connects to a mailbox you own and sorts incoming mail into labels, recording a reason for each decision. It is offered free of charge during the pilot, and the pilot may end or change at any time.

Your account

Signing up needs an invite code. You are responsible for the security of the account you sign in with, and for having the authority to connect the mailbox you connect. Connect only mailboxes that belong to you or that you are permitted to automate.

What Stillmail will not do

Stillmail does not permanently delete mail, does not empty the trash, and does not star messages. It asks for Gmail’s gmail.modify scope specifically so that permanent deletion is outside what it is able to do.

No warranty

Stillmail is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Automated sorting will sometimes be wrong. Because nothing is ever deleted, a wrong decision is recoverable — but you remain responsible for your own mail, and Stillmail should not be relied on as the only safeguard against missing something important.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Stillmail is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including missed or mis-sorted mail.

Ending it

You can disconnect a mailbox or delete your account at any time. Disconnecting revokes the token with Google and deletes the stored credentials. The labels Stillmail created are ordinary Gmail labels and stay in your mailbox unless you remove them yourself.
